hehe, well, it seems I was only half right (kinda).
I'm surprised the aluminum ions don't hurt the fish as well, or at least build up in their systems like mercury will.
Well my 30 seconds of hard study on the matter on Wikipedia tell me that it is toxic in an aquatic environment. So I'm guessing they are far more toxic to the parasite at the recommended concentration.
I might start drinking in a minute.
