i didn't see the vacation problem in advance, partly because i was just new to RHP . . .now it is clear that it needs to be "tweaked" - at least
1. if VF is up . . YOU CANNOT MOVE!
2. VF has to be posted at least 1 week in advance and cannot be taken down . . . .your VF is posted for the period of time you have it . .then your play resumes
it will still allow a little dragging . but the strategy part will be taken away . .right?
You can continue moving during the vacation time.
I understand it, but it will be abused.
You need more time, put a vacation flag up and keep moving when you want. No need to worry about timeouts.

Can you time your opponent out if you yourself are "on vacation"?
If you can......hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!πππ
From what I briefly read, during vacation your timebank is still running and once you come of vacation status, you can be flagged right away if your timebank is gone.
So at least that is decent.
But still abusers...
Originally posted by Nordlysah ok, i was unaware of that change - bummer, locking it was a good idea
It used to be locked, but now it's possible to end the vacation earlier than originally planned.
I don't think forcing at least a week's notice would be a good idea at all. While the vacation system is nice to have for preplanned vacations, in my opinion it may be even more important for things you won't know a week in advance, like illness or the death of a close family member.
i suppose i didn't really consider illness and such other unforseen events. no matter, if the VF was locked and you only get to play one move per game it would sort it all out IMO
