You should always say "Thank you", "I love you" and "Great job" to someone every day, and mean it. (Not necessarily the same person, spread it around, make three people happy, instead of just one.)
Meaning it is the important bit. It won't help you one bit if you don't mean it, AND the people you say them to will know, making the end result very different.
Is that when you resort to lying and giving false praise, or, do you just break your hard fast rule, and reduce yourself to a blithering hypocrite?
By the way.
I love you. 🙂

I mean, yeah, you could be stuck in the backwoods with no one around, but if so, why?
The object here is to be more connected with the other humans you share your life with. Go on, it's always worth the risk.

Maybe I don't like people.

Maybe that's the object, but the goal potentially goes down in flames, likely proportionate to how many people you rub elbows with on a daily basis.
Maybe your goal is best suited for active socialites with lots of friends and I presume you are in that group. But the rest of us are left in the desolate cold, feeling like complete failures because we can't achieve the goals you set forth for us.
🙁
I'm depressed now. Thanks a lot.
