so souness has brought owen over from spain to newcastle?

what do you think it will mean to the team, since he is a high rated player and teamed up with x england star shearer?

Nothing I expect because the rest of the team are rubbish, Dyer is always injured and there is no one to give the strikers the service they need.

i think it's a damn shame liverpool couldn't cough up the cash for owen, we'll rue this missed opportunity when we're scrambling for fourth place at the end of the season...

just need to find some injury free midfielders, bad mistake was letting speed go to bolton, what an impact he has made there

He was saying on the radio that he wanted to play Premiership football, but if that's the case why did he join Newcastle? 😕

You mean apart from Emre, Scott Parker, Bowyer, N'Zogbia and Solano?

The captious whining from Southern-based commentators on the Owen move has been hysterical this past day or so. I switched Five Live on the other day and someone with an Oxbridge accent was moaning on about Newcastle United's obsession with signing big player instead of concentrating on developing their academy...like (wait for it) Chelsea. I nearly fell off my chair when I heard that one.
