I'm more likely to get buzzed than hammered.

And more likely to sleep in a nice hotel then in a tent. Assuming, of course, that they have nice hotels in RI. Phlabbs? Any rec's?

Also planning on visiting some family in the area and going to church there Sunday morning. Still up for carpooling Sun? I could meet you in Worcester?
I'll get some local address... Andy had a good idea about the casino being about 15 or 25 miles away. Luxury!

If I find something local, it's cheap in Charlestown.

I'll make a list for folks to know their options if they are not willing to tent.

How is the lighting for chess when it gets dark?

What is the bathroom situation? "Porta potty"? or the lawn?
I can't imagine you want everyone forming a line in your house.

Is there plenty of room for the cars?

Will there be enough tables for everyone to play? Or bring our own?

What if it rains?

And my wife wants to know if there will be any non-chess playing people to talk to?

After dark will be a bonfire, that and flood lighting on the back of my house... and a power outlet where the pool used to be.

Bringing a table and chairs is a fine idea, if you have something like that easy enough to fit in your trunk.

Part of my suggestions was bring an umbrella. Also, I can pull the cars out of my garage and the grill out front for those brave enough to stick around if it pours. God likes me, it won't rain.

I don't expect too many people that we can't use the toilet, though the men are welcome to use the "MEN'S ROOM" out back.

For folks interested in luxury accommodations as well as games of chance, Phlab's place is just a short drive from Foxwoods, the world's largest resort casino. See their website at www.foxwoods.com

Edit: 25 miles

Do poor chess players count? If so I qualify and will help keep her entertained. Does she play cards? I'll bring a deck just in case.

Cuz all the good ones were already done there, and it's MY TURN.

Russ is well advised to make a trip... I'm not buying Pizza.

It's the southeast of New England. Blame George III.

I'm sure your wife will feel welcome and chess will be a small part of the entertainment, I think.

I thought for sure P flabs would have mood lighting.
BTW, is there enough room for my full entourage, or just my weekday posse?

He'll probably have some sort of activity planned like sword fighting, waterballoon fights or OMG, karaoke!
