Why can't you people drop the "look at me" attention whoring and just leave quietly?
It's so true about the attention whoring. I have left chess sites (including this one) for unusually long periods of time in a fit of anger over some stupid losses or personality clashes, and after awhile I begin secretly hoping that people will miss me sufficiently to beg me to come back and/or get a petition started to get me back. But I know I don't have the celebrity status of GB or VR and never will. I will actually vow to never again log on RHP again but my willpower will weaken over time and I will take a peek at my account and see if I have any new messages sent to me during my absence. If there are some, then I am a happy camper. I feel valued.
