I guess it depends on the person....I've had people that fall back and wait for me to strike, whereas others are ancy about moving and like to trade pieces.

I'll get there one day. I always thought chess was a boring game until I sat my friend down and he taught me. Now I'm hooked.
Bought an xbox game on it, an electronic chess board...some books.

My uncle taught me how to play while showing me the
1972 Fischer – Spassky World Championship.
Bobby Fischer captured my young mind.
(side note: it is very sad to see him now, a sick mind).
Strengths: Tactical play.
Weaknesses: Virtually everything else particularly my end game.

Fact of the matter is, a non-subscriber can do just about anything he/she wants to... they can use a computer program against you, simply not move in the game, use bad language to you, and/or pretty much anything they want to dream up.
My rule is simple: "Don't play a game that you have no control over."
Non-subscribers have NOTHING TO LOSE! They can simply DUMP their ID at any time and come back as a NEW person! GEEZ, *I* can't do that! Neither can all the other PAYING members! So WHY would anyone want to enter a game where the odds are already stacked against you!? A game where you are playing a player who, regardless of their ability, comes in rated at 1200!!!

Members can use programs as well. That statement was a little unclear. Just like that non member, you can't tell what a member is doing on the other side of the screen. Right?

I've never taken a game from a non PS stranger (you know what I mean) but will also play non stars I've seen around. If we make this site enjoyable for them, they either pay up... or perhaps tell a friend who pays up.
I consider them to need to pass a 'test' with me to play, but I will play them. Again, some even end up buying in if they enjoy this site.
