@shallow-blue saidReal ice hockey is played in Mannheim, too. I lived there for ten yrs. Mannheim has its own arena. That’s how you know a city is serious about it.
There's no such thing as "English Football".
Ice hockey is played in a couple of northern provinces. Real hockey is contested between India, England, Argentina, The Netherlands and Australia. None of you blubber-chewers get a look-in.

@very-rusty saidWhy do you think I need educating about ice hockey?

@fmf saidIf they aren't good enough you're suggesting we just put them in the NHL?
If "ragging the puck" is from the world of ice hockey, then I am not sure I am comfortable with how little that sport involves and embraces black people.
We have some black players who are good enough but we don't have any Malaysian players so why don't you whine about that? π

@shallow-blue saidSerious ice hockey then, not amateur sissy ice hockey. The kind where they eat their dead.
No such thing. That's like saying "real beach volleyball" or "real dice chess".
@moonbus saidLOL....A new one for me, never heard that one before! π

@fmf saidPeople aren't going to watch players who suck because of "quotas"
There should be quotas.
Mind you, I think there should be quotas at Phish concerts too.
There needs to be a paradigm shift.
Does cricket use quotas?
Does football use quotas?
Would you want a doctor that was hired because of "quotas"?
Ragging the Puck Meaning, which may be beneficial to some of you! π
(Ice Hockey) To retain possession of the puck by skillful skating and stickhandling without attempting to score, as a deliberate tactic intended to use up time. (chiefly Canada, by extension) To proceed slowly at an activity in order to use up time; to stall for time.
