Thank god for the reruns! That's how I got to see "The saint", and the "Avengers".
I hate commercials.

I hate commercials as well, that's why now I don't watch t.v.that much... And all the shows out there pretty much sucks.
Nowadays is more or less Conan O'Brien, The Daily Show, and some documentaries...

I have to mention these two:
- Monty Python's Flying Circus - best comedy and best show ever
- The Twilight Zone - best non-Monty-Python show ever
And now for something completely different, the original point of my post was to mention...
...Space: 1999!!
The most under-rated sci-fi show ever 😏

I know what you mean about the Columbo DVD’s. I used to love to watch that guy solve cases when I was a kid, but I too bought a set of the DVD's and was so disappointed. After watching a lot of CSI:Miami the Columbo series looked so stupid. 😳
I guess what it all means is that we're spiraling through a dimensional warp in space and can never go back. *sigh*
"Commander Corey, Commander-in-chief of the SPACE PATROL"
A live sci-fi series I used to watch regularly. Of course now with shows like 'Stargate' "Battlestar Galactica", the old stuff is dated. I wonder if any of Space Patrol was recorded for posterity?
I also watched the 'Kukla Fran and Ollie' show, remember the phrase
"Pluck your magic Twanger, Froggie'? When I was a kid I used to have a big horselaugh at that one.

yeah kung fu seemed cool. but do you know what ive found? that its better not to see those old shows again, because they will disappoint you big time.
better to remember them fondly than to see what rubbish they really were
back then when your brain was a little softer
They sucked. Bad. Dunno what impressed me so much, I couldn't even watch them all the way through.
