the story, as far as my role in it, was played out nearly a decade ago and i am happy to be able to tell it to you.
my school (woburn ci) was recognized as one of the best in the country and was somewhat 'feared' internationally for its gifted program (our gifted students regularly won competions).

So you are actually proud of teaching these kids that going against the most basic trait we all have in our human nature is a good thing?
You proudly state that you were cutting down on "chimp food" by teaching these kids to be as cowardly as you are. Great. Just what the world needs, I guess. You totally missed the point of this thread. You ASSUME that to fight our nature is a good thing. I say that you couldn't be more wrong if you got all your vegan friends together during a famine, to form a hunting party, and starved to death wondering if it was the right thing to do. You, and everyone else, would be much better served to observe and understand human nature, instead of trying to mold a fantasy world. You do live in a fantasy world, you know. You think that by being "a friend" you are superior. Wrong. You are just silly. I choose my friends based on how close to their human nature they can come in the everyday world, WITHOUT SURRENDERING TO IT. This involves understanding why we evolved to digest a pound of meat, eaten by tearing raw meat with our kanines, in about twenty minutes and the same pound of inferior plant matter, of any sort in about two hours. It involves understanding that without eating meat, we would never have developed the energy density to become the dominant species, and that without meat, we will eventually lose that dominant role.
Chimp Credits are a fact. You trying to teach your school "victims" your romantic notions are cruel. And unusual. I'll guarantee that if I were in your school system, my kids would have been in a private school.
There. I feel better. I have felt like slime for a week over letting you brag about trying to ruin those two kids.
