I have a friend - a somewhat purple friend - who has a problem. He visits this chess website on the foums of which is to be found a self-righteous hypocritical idiot who posts a lot of tripe in the forums. Usually my friend ignores it, but recently, ummm, he has been kind of finding the, erm, posts of this self-righteous hypocritical idiot a tiny bit, you know ... amusing. THERE, I said it!

What should I advise him? Should he stay true to his initial instincts and carry on loathing the self-righteous hypocritical idiot? Or should I recommend he admits to himself his change of heart and apply to join TSM?

One can spend too much time here even without a sub. The problem is not the subscription itself but time management. If you want a sub, get one. But allot specific times (2-3 hours, or however many you think is appropriate) during the day to RHP and avoid it like the plague during the rest of the time.

today is my first day as raven's PA, if all goes well i hope it will turn into a full time thing. she doesn't pay that well but the attitude she dishes out is very arousing. don't hell her though as it might affect my chances of full time employment.
