To say that his insanity negates any chess ideas he ever had seems silly.
He lived 64 years, one year for each square on the board.
Later his anti-American remarks proved to me he was a hack, who got lucky and beat Spassky. I have no love at all for Fischer, and if you look at a remark made by me about a week ago in Grampy Bobby's Dinner Party thread, it now seems to me to be prophetic.
