I didn't paste Marlone's message word for word, but it was fine english and very understanding.
He (or she!?) is not a cheat... just someone who bit off more than they could chew and happened to have a stuffy nose and needed to spit some food out to take a good breath.... or something like that.

I have a game going with Marlone, and I noticed Marlone's rating dropping, so I went and checked. Many, MANY people timed him out. I saw the Vacation Icon up on my game with him, so I left it alone.
I told him that I noticed his fallen rating, and he told me that he had been out for a while, and simply forgot to turn his vacation icon on.
I also had trouble understanding parts of his messages to me, which may be due to broken English, but I dont know. I certainly will not accuse him of being a cheater because of it.
He is good at chess. I dont think that is any cause for this seemingly random accusation.

In May of this year, I went for MAP of the month. I played just under 200 games. I know how it feels, almost. I didn't talk to anyone...for the most part. He was kicked out of The Fun Clan for a couple reasons (not that any of this is the public's business):
1. He stopped moving. No one knew when he would be back!
2. He was irritating me with the fact that he was tying up 5 other clans...so we couldn't play any of them!
3. The Fun Clan has 5 or 6 rules after entrance, one of which is that your rating can't go below 1000. His did. He was replaced with LittleBear. I think you would have done the same!!!!!

Andrew makes a very good point! Marlone56's home country is not America (or another native English speaking country)! Although, the fact that he has replied to my messages with good English and his profile is written well tells me that he does know the language. Although, I'm still sticking to what I told nook7!

I too have a game against marlone56. I had the opportunity to time him out, but why? I wasn't obviously going to win. If you look at his record, it was obvious that his rating had fallen due to people claiming wins against him. He's a pawn star, I figured he'd be back. Glad I waited, we have a fun gaming going again. Don't give him a bad rep.

on the contrary, from all the postings, it would seem that marlone56 has considerable support. he is seen as a likeable and decent player. he plays a lot of games, but he has not timed out on any veggieclan games. furthermore, until it is decided otherwise, he is a veggieclan member and therefore deserves and has our support as a part of our family. i sincerely hope that his feelings weren't hurt and am very happy to see all the favorable comments on his behalf.
romeo, i am sure, judging by the message of apology you sent to our clan members after your initial post, that you regret this outburst. recently, i have come to know you as friend and as a dedicated (albeit at times over-enthusiastic) 'cheerleader' of the veggieclan. i have no doubt that if a member of our clan were ever so attacked (as was marlone), you would be the first to rush to the defence.
matters like these are more appropriately solved internally without public badmouthing on the rhp forums. as the self-appointed 'Veggie Clan Conduct Manager', i am certain you will endeavour in the future to uphold this very sensible protocol.
