Why would us players who don't talk and have no profiles want to play
here very long? So we can read how sorry we are in the forums maybe?
Please see when I joined, I've been here along time. I play good
games, and I take plently of time to make my moves. Just like I use
to do when I played by mail.
There is room enough here for all kinds of players, we don't have to
be all alike.
And who really cares if you would play them or not?

p.s. Those who complain about others are always players that are
sorry...and rude/ingnorant
Hey, i'm a new player without a profile, but I will always reply to any
greetings or comments made by my opponents. I wouldn't be to
offended by people not replying, there's one of three explanations:
they're unsociable, they're shy, or they're lazy. Mark
p.s. you have got me paranoid about not having a profile now, so I
will have to go and find something witty to put in there!
I agree with you. I start every game with a "Thank you" if someone
accepted an open invite, and a "good luck". How difficult is it to write
back? When someone doesn't, it makes me feel like I'm playing a
program and not a person (hmmm...?). I want to know where my
opponent is from, what they do, who they are. This is a community,
not just a place to play chess. This is also the reason why I think
people should wirte profiles, and I'll no longer play those who do not.

The same with me. I didn't realize we had that option immediately either. Plus
sometimes I just don't notice that someone has said something during a game and
fail to respond. Especially if they just entered a short communication like "Hi".
The other person may feel they've been slighted but it's really just an oversight
on my part. Other times I have meant to respond but inadvertantly hit the "move"
button before composing my reply.
