Here's a suggestion. Why not have moderators destroy anything that does not make some attempt at being readable grammatically? Of course, much of the best stuff in here comes from people whose first language is not English, and of course that should not be penalized (to do so would be narrow-minded and evil). However, when someone substitues "u" for "you" or "ur" for "you are", or uses AIM-speak, why not moderate it out of hand? The result would be that anyone who wanted their posts heard would be forced to devote some time to writing them. Also, I believe that the 'post count' should be done away with.

what about a way to alert a user, and anytime that person posts something it doesnt show up until a modrater acepts it?

That could work.
Once a user had abused their privileges, they get a warning, followed by subjecting them to having their posts to be approved by a mod.
Of course, someone would have to decide what constituted abuse, but I'm sure that's not much of a problem.

CFC, this isn't a chat room. If you don't understand a post by someone, and the post wasn't directed at you, then how about WAITING until other people join the conversation and pick up the meaning from them.

That is totally true and I couldn't agree with you more but I think if we are using that kinda programs a lot we get used to it so instead of that we easily explain what we don't understand as a normal person...we say: eeeeeeh? what do you mean? I can't believe there has been such a fuss about this. Now, if it was a flamer I could understand. If someone had been found to be cheating, I could understand. But simple spam? Did anyone try sending either of these guys a private message politely explaining things to them? For that matter, is it really so hard to ignore the tiny posts and just scroll down? I'm not even going to go into what I think of the whole "lets implement more restrictions" subject. 🙁
