AW, crap. I'm a big fan of the books and the radio playand was really looking forward to this film.

Well you expectations are now low enough you might enjoy it. I heard it was worth seeing, but not nearly as good as the book.

Good, this is how I view any movie. It will NEVER be as good as I hope. It will suck.

Let's put it into perspective... Star Wars 2 was great! The only one I did not see in the theater. I liked it, since I heard it sucked SO BAD.

I look forward to this movie stinking...

I got the impression that the movie was made for dope using teens....
Yeah, I know that's a terrible thing to say, my guess is that any adult who watches the movie will feel the same way. 😕

I was afraid this would be the case.
I am a huge fan of the radio & TV series and the books.
As soon as I heard the film was going to be American (made by Disney), I knew it would fall on its face.
The humour is so British, the director & cast should have been Brits too.

The director and almost all of the cast are British. This is a UK production financed by American money, nothing new in that. I've yet to see it, I won't pay to see it at the cinema as I am expecting it to be disappointing, I'll rent it on DVD and watch it casually.
