I was led to believe that it was infact her brother that picked up the bag in the airport and after carrying it only a few meters past the baggage check, was stopped and questioned. That was when Schapelle claimed ownership of her bag and opened it. There have been many theorys about her brother aswell. I only hope the appeal goes well and the Australian Government and police sort out the obvious problems in airport security immediately.
Finally, to all those thinking of Boycotting trips to Bali, get a grip!

sounds like a fair exchange, especially if she can swipe the bag of dakka before she leaves. I'd be quite pleased!

All this 'corrupt baggage handling' is pure nonsense and convinced no one. She originally said that she was threatened by her creditors if she didn't take the drugs in and then changed her story to fit the 'baggage handlers' senario. Besides, you can't tell me you wouldn't notice four extra kilos in a boogie bag. You can't tell three judges either. She fooled none of them.
The prosecuting is appealing the light sentance and are asking for "life". I hope they get it. You do drugs, you do the time. They should have executed her.

(Reposting what i said earlier without using the a-word)
It's difficult to get a hold of any accurate info, so it's difficult to determine Corby's guilt or innocence. I know i sound like a 'bad-guy' when i say it, but considering how many Australians are rotting in foreign prisons this case smells of 'white woman in trouble'.
Once the media circus dies down, we can get a hold of better information, and we can reach an informed decision of her probable guilt or innocence. We shouldn't make conclusions based on a pretty face.
P.S. Some of the information starting to come to the surface is making her 'obvious innocence', not so obvious, e.g, lying about her number of trips to Bali, weight difference in bags, refusing to innitialy reveal the contents of her bag to indonesian customs (most people would come clean straight away if they were aware, after all there's no hiding what's in your bags) and the reports that Indonesian courts put the burden of proof on the defence is also garbage. Not damning, but certainly as persuasive as what the Corby camp has been using for defense.

You can't go interfering with another countries legal system willy nilly, especially Indonesia when tentions are already high. It has to be settled according to their legal process otherwise it will become much bigger than the mountain of a mole hill it already is.

And did i mention the Interpreter!
Lol, it's funny how people see things differently, i thought everyone was helping her out .Either way i haven't bought into anything, the penalty is harsh and people are thinking with their hearts on the matter not their heads.
I haven't said she's guilty, but a multitude think she's innocent and based on what? A saturation of flimsy hearsay that somehow passes as evidence through repetition on television, and the testimony of a convicted rapist (or was it some other felony, oh, and when's the guy up for parole, if you're looking for a reason for his testimony).
A point of mine was that the way she looks is going to affect the perception of guilt, i bet the reaction would be different if she looked like this,

or maybe an arab/asian Australian, or that blokey looking woman in the bali 9.
Who's saving the bali 9? Well i've had my 2 cents, it's just an opinion, freedom of speach and all that, nothing personal besides, i've got nothing more to say about this anyway.
Originally posted by clive59Well, she's not American. She is just another stupid Australian and the "white woman in trouble" diatribe is not washing with anyone. The fact is, if risking execution or spending life in an Indonesian prison is unpalatable to you then the answer is simple - dont take drugs into their country because if you are caught you can expect to be dealt with swiftly and harshly. The penalties are well known and the Indonesians have a history of implementing them to the full tenure of their law, with little mercy.

Its got nothing to do with tsunami aid or the tourist dollar. Its all to do with breaking their laws in their country. The penalties are in place to act as a deterrent and Schapelle chanced her hand, more than once from all accounts and this time she got caught. I have simply no sympathy for her or any others who transgress in this manner and she deserves to spend the rest of her life in their prison.
