You can assume if any thread is not answered in 26 minutes or less no one is interested in the thread. If you like, I'll close it.

I dive whenever I can get near a bit of water with better than 1 meter vis'. When I lived near the coast I would dive very frequently. Not so much now though, just on holiday if facilities exist.

edit: Quarry will be cold this time of year.....brrrrrrrrr.

Did you use to dive alone then or with a buddy.

You'd want to be a bit of a maniac to dive on your own.

I've dived in Cambodia, Australia and Ireland. I found out that I don't really enjoy diving in cold water. Brrrr. Especially with a killer hangover.

Did some great snorkelling trips in Thailand. Nearly as much as diving.

Well, the truth is, when the water was clear, and there was no one to buddy with....

I did break the unbreakable rule of diving a number of times. Not big or clever.

Luckily just turning up at the beach was normally enough to find someone to dive with.

Last time I put in some serious dives was in the Maldives on my honey moon. 14 days, 2 dives a day - 40m down with a clear view to the surface. And sharks. Heaven.

Grand Cayman
Fla. Keyes & panhandle
N & S Carolina
Bahamas
Australia
Turk & Caicos

I love to dive, it has changed my life for the better.

Australia was the most diverse diving I have ever done. My wife and I did a 5 day live aboard that took us to 15 different sites on the GBR and the Corral sea. We saw turtles, sharks, huge cod....more stuff than I can name. We liked it so much it is the only time we bought the "dive video". That being said it was expensive & travel time was a killer (I live in Atlanta).

For a much more reasonable amount Cozumel Mexico is almost just as good. The diving is easy, very diverse, and boat rides are very short (average 15-20 min.). All the diving is drift diving and is so easy it's not funny. If you have never done a drift dive I highly recommend it.
