Rusty created this thread, remember.

Why doesn't Rusty consider the wishes of the numerous members he antagonises with his belligerent and obstinate posting style?

You seem to forget that these so-called rights you mention also come with the responsibility to use them with respect for others. Interesting that the same accusations are levied at yo ...[text shortened]... k he should; he doesn't engage in any meaningful way with any other user, apart from you.

.......................................

Conversations always become fractured/diluted once they deteriorate and rivet

on personality or individual style. Principle in focus is nothing more or less than

universal privileges appertaining unto membership in Red Hot Pawn.
Site terms

of Service attempt to curb gross, abusive behavior. Under TOS we are all equal.

What you or I may think about any other member(s) is totally inconsequential.

Go create yet another formulaic thread Bobby.

That'll make you feel better/clever/wanted/important/equal to everybody else/etc/etc/

Red Hot Pawn Membership is a privilege which requires acceptance of the authority of the site's terms of service. Neither the letter nor spirit of the RHP TOS Bible authorizes any member to presume to restrict the contractual freedoms or privileges of other members; to attempt to impose subjective cultural bias; to legislate conformity of personality or posting style.

LOL. It's not a privilege. You just need the spare cash and a valid email address. Unless you count the mere accident of birth and circumstances to be living in a country with credit cards and the internet as a privilege. In that case, create a bloody thread in Spirituality about how happy you are to be alive.

You forget to mention the [b ...[text shortened]... rum nce. To claim to be in a majority of one, in that everybody else is wrong, is just delusional.

If Red Hot Pawn Membership isn't a privilege (as you claim), why would Russ & Chris have devoted twenty three (23) Terms of Service paragraphs and twelve (12) Public Forum Posting Guidelines to the site's integrity and protection of its members? RHP is unique in many ways (operational stability, ease of access, ongoing feature enhancement, visual attractiveness, affordability, objective/fair chess game and forum moderation, open door administrative feedback provision, etc). An often overlooked uniqueness is RHP's inclusive and non-discriminatory embrace of its individual member's equality and responsible excercise of contractual freedoms. There's no mention whatsoever of any requirement that any member must submit at any time to the coercion of majority opinion or conform to prevailing subculture mores or convert to provincial groupthink. RHP is a business, not some goofy church. ~gb

Unbundle the posts. Strip away poster costumes. Reduce the side bar chit chat this thread has spawned to its irreducible core essence. What's left? Random opinion and truth mixed with error (worthy of the Spirituality Forum) about one of the oldest topics in the world: conflicted majoritiy/minority viewpoints of large/small groups of homo sapiens struggling to coexist.

Well done for completely ignoring my point and, when your misunderstanding is pointed out to you, for resorting to type.

So, we're clear? You won't find mores and customs in explicit Terms of Service. By their very nature they are unwritten. Whether it's a goofy church or an internet forum, some things just don't need writing down. Anyone with basic ...[text shortened]... blue mud in their navels, I rub blue mud in mine just as solemnly. " Sensible and polite.

..................

Nothing was ignored. Majorities/minorities quite often differ on applicable mores

and customs. Why sidetrack a discussion by presuming to major on minor things

or advocating blue mud as an adequate substitute for selfhood and self esteem?

You think the TOS are there for your benefit? My favourite is 13. I love that bit. Sure, RHP membership has it's privileges.

It's basic manners.

Yes, Tim, my benefit and yours and all Red Hot Pawn Members. All RHP governing

policies/guidelines and operating/administrative procedures enunciate one theme:

Site Integrity... which by simple definition becomes the umbrella protecting us all.

Thought it might be helpful to bring forward a few previous posts to minimize any and all possibility of misquotations.

Quoting other member/posters accurately is also an RHP Public Forum responsibility requirement.

I guess I figured you'd realize how contradicting you are, in this and your previous post, but you didn't... at least i know you really are a woman now.
Touche' and good point. I was tempted into it by Ice Cold's post. Someone whose opinion I have a great respect for, even when I disagree.

Of course I have been regretting getting involved ever since then. I really should know better by now. 😛

As my post suggests, self censorship is the greatest gift a man can give to a forum. I can't silence you, only you can exercise that particular ability.

"Then stop your bloody sermons." <-------------------- any contradiction?

Self censorship = the price of admission. Greatest gift = positive life force.

No need to have regrets, BG. You are well liked and respected. Just contribute

straight talk/application of objective principles (and muzzle the animosities).
