Keep your eyes open and you will undoubtedly see what I mean.
Self control and practising restraint can help to solve problems.
Of course this goes for everybody including myself.

I hear what your saying, and I understand it. My self restraint could use a bit of fine tuning. In certain situations, I just cant help but stand up for myself and the decency of others.

On an aside, my respect for the site does not, and will not reflect respect for cheaters and their accomplices.. I have zero tolorance for such things. To me, they are two totally different issues, unrelated.

Ok, I will give it an effort to turn this around. My new leaf is now turned over. If I get out of line, feel free to remind me of my new and less argumentative persona.

About the cheaters and the cheating:

Nobody should respect cheating, but in my opinion you should respect the human being who's cheating. It also helps you to control your understandable anger being confronted with cheaters. However I must admit I'm not always following this advice I once received. Sometimes it's a real ordeal, especially when the cheater does not change his ways ...

Wow! Free lodgings. My bags are packed. πŸ™‚

6 years ago when I worked that side of the pond I opened a bank account and put all my spare expenses money in it. (Amazing how much you can accumulate when you live off 99c Big Macs everyday. I haven't eaten a McDonalds since then. But I digress&hellipπŸ˜‰

So, I have an account with a bit of money stashed in it - and have always planned to come back and use my secret(!) little stash of cash as spending money, and have a most excellent holiday. Hasn't happened yet - but I'm now looking at the globe on my desk, and thinking ‘one day soon….’

Russ if you ever wish to visit Australia you are more than welcome to sleep on my couch. You'll have to do the dishes every second night of course, and mow the lawn every thursday. You're not one of those people that shower every day are you?

Well, of course, the reality is I'm married with a young boy, and another on the way in January - so I was day dreaming back there on my last post. I have been to Australia already - and I must accept my days of travelling anywhere remotely interesting are over.

I refuse to answer that. πŸ˜‰

Yes I remember reading somewhere that you were married. Oh well, if you change your mind I promise I won't mention your cricket team more than once or twice a day (I'm rather busy with the Kiwi's at the moment anyway, all out for 97, LOL.)

P.s. The shower comment was in relation to the terrible drought down here at the moment. I'm doing my bit to save water, though my family isn't making it any easier with their repeated attempts at hosing me down.

Dont get me wrong, I respect the Humans as creations, and am willing to forgive, and offer second, third, fourth, fifth, etc, chances. Not that I am in control of anything, or have the power to really make a difference.

But it seems to me, there are very few people here that want to stand up for the rights of the abused. Sure, we could bite our tounges, and igonore the offenders, or we try to stop them. I for one would rather not sit idly by while some take advantage of the honest players and site resources.

There is something honourable to be said for your stance Ivanhoe. I respect your thoughts. And while I am trying to be a bit less harsh in what I say to the cheaters, I do think we should be proactive, and try to protect our resources.

Then again, it is just a website we are talking about. But geez, I sure do take it seriously. Maybe to seriously. OH CRIPES!!!! I have become a web geek, and didnt even see it coming!!!

My wife was right all this time,
Noooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!,

Yes, I don't know what to do with myself when RHP is down. thanks Guys!http://www.redhotpawn.com/board/newpost.php?threadid=7294&frompage=1#

Speaking out outages, I just stumbled across the links on the home page for redhotchess.com, chessatwork.com and timeforchess.com. Does anybody know what these are about? They seem identicle to RHP except for colors, etc. I was able to log in as well. Why do they exist? Are they some sort of backup and interchangable, and can you log into one while the other is down?

Thanks

They're all the same site, just different appearances. If the site is down, they're all down.
