The International Space Station is so cool. I like to track it across the globe as it races above the earth at a whopping 17,000 miles per hour. How amazing is that.
It was visible from my house last night, unfortunately, I didn't know that until tonight. 😞

The space station is now directly over China, peering into your windows.
Hey, what is that you've got in your hand there Mike!
Drop it!!!!
😕
They keep catching me, but I don't do it all the time - I promise! 😲
Tell me when it is over China - I'll tell the authorities and start WW3.

Congratulations to STS-117 on successfully docking with ISS and replacing Suni Williams with Mr. Anderson. Suni Williams now holds the record for longest recorded time in space for a woman.
All NASA's hopes lie now in the next launch, STS-118, where they might have a few more new systems to test. STS-118 will be launched August 9, 2007 (assuming weather permits).
(They say that when the ISS is done, it will be able to be seen with the naked eye in the daytime. This is basically an inversion of the Great Wall of CHina (the largest manmade object to be seen from space). The ISS will be the largest manmade object to be seen in space from Earth.)
edit: If anyone can find and name the newest set of systems that NASA is trying on STS-118 in August and deliver it here in post format, I'll PM them about something interesting I saw at NASA this week.
