My Dad gave me a little money for my birthday, so I'm going to create a contest.

I've written down a number between 1-1000 (inclusive). Which ever subscriber guesses it or whoever gets closest wins a years extension to their RHP subscription.

Rules:

1 One guess per sub. If you post more than one, the first one counts.

2 Must be a sub as in. Well, except Robbie who borrowed my lawnmower 2 weeks ago and hasn't returned it. 😠😠

On a serious note, I'd like to participate as a unsubcribed (though circumcised member) with a goodwill donation to enable you to award two prizes of equal value. Goes without saying, Moose, that I've no desire to upstage your generous initiative or to steal the limelight. My boss is quite pleased with my work (part time fun job as temporary social activities director at an area retirement home since mid-July). She totally surprised me by nearly doubling my wage early September. Earning this unexpected and unneeded income keeps me off the streets and provides a few extra coins for the rainy day fund I never set up. Curiously, I haven't a clue as to where it is or goes. So, $40.00 is earmarked to be sent to you to fund the second prize I kidded about earlier this evening. Would very much like to include this check to you along with the rest of my outgoing end of month mail Tuesday afternoon. I'm providing my email address to you by a confidential personal message for your use in advising me of the postal box or address I should use. Your idea is really quite refreshing and reinforces a long overdue tone of civility in the RHP General Forum. Maybe it'll become an annual event. If it does, my vote for its name would be, "The Sir Moose Memorial Award" (SMMA) in honor of the unseen impact of your positive presence in these forums over the years.

Note: Had I been competing, my Scientific Wild Arse Guess would have been 1003 (10.01 + 10.05 = 2006 / 2 = 1003) or 1210 (12.10.01 + 12.10.05 = 2420.06 / 2 = 1210 rounded).
