@divegeester saidI'll make it 3 for the lulz... watched the first 30 seconds and gave up, typical American dramatization.
Two thumbs down LOL.
@divegeester saidFinding out how the universe works is threatening to some people.
Two thumbs down LOL.
@divegeester saidThere's some fantastic English made videos out there on the workings on the universe including supernovas which are very informative and interesting in a far less dramatized manner.
Sometimes we need to see the substance and overlook the style.

Most of what the astronomers say was in accordance with current Knowledge. However nobody knows what is happening at Betelgeuze. It is possible that it is thousands of years from cpollapse (or not, nobody knows).
And of Course I am more or less a lay Person in astronomy… I think they oversimplified the way elements are made by fusion (and there I would claim a bit of expertship)

@divegeester saidExcellent video, informative and not too arcane.
Do you like cosmos stuff but you’re not a physicist or cosmologist?
Here’s a really nice video explaining in simple terms the incredible phenomena of supernovae.

Since Betelgeuse is roughly 650 light years from Earth, the supernova display may have already begun.
@handyandy saidIndeed. We will. only know after the light will have arrived however.
