Instead of making five word pronouncements simply stating what you
hold to be fact, you may find the best way to discuss this is if you
explained what you meant. Suggest *why* you think there is a clique,
tell us your reasons for why you think this.
That way your opinion and point can be discussed in a more sensible
manner, instead of resorting to dubious, ambiguous one lined
comments which cause the thread to descend into petty childish
squabbling.
Why do you think there is a clique Mari? If you tell us why we can then
either agree and see your point or help to correct any
misunderstandings.

Oh there most definitely is a clique. However, its like that at any established
site. There are/is always a group that has been visiting a site for some
time. These people get to know each other and what not.Like a little
family. Here, they call it the community. They are not always welcoming at
first.More accurately,some are,some aren't.
No big deal.Just like a new kid in school.Just keep pushing wood, I say π
Let me help you. First, don't try so hard. Secondly, you are not
supposed to fit in everywhere. No one does. Play a game with those
you'd like to get to know better. The forums are not the best place to
make friends on this site- the games are. Be yourself, relax and you
might want to post a picture of yourself. Our visual cortex is well
developed. Kirk
Anytime I post good things, they are slagged off,but establishedWell, Marie, attitude is everything.
people can be congratulated for garbarge.

We all get to approach our life experience how we wish. Me? I'm
here to play chess. People are people the world over, and if you have
not figured that out by this time then I can only say there is hope for
you in the future.
Any place you go you will be the outsider entering until you stay and
play a while. If "being part of the group" is important to you...and it
is to you since you posted on the subject, then simply play and add
some constructive comments in the forums from time to time.
Whether you like groups or not, you cannot avoid them – after all you
are in the CHESS PLAYING GROUP. So, don’t bother replying to me
you don’t want to be part of a group.
If you are a good person (and I think you are) with some good and
thoughtful ideas, others will pickup on that. Some won’t. I know this
might come as a shock to you, but yes (!), there are many idiots
here - but you KNOW idiots are everywhere! So, why focus on
THEM?? Change what you can (yourself) and leave the rest to the
idiots who try continually to annoy the rest of use with their stupidity.
BTW, the best way to handle an idiot is to ignore him. Doing so will
save you much aggravation and permit the idiot to realize that he has
no audience, and so, to gain attention (what all idiots want) he must
change HIS behavior. It’s a good thing when an idiot chances
behavior as a result of good people being around to show him the
error of his ways.
I play chess here, comment in the forums from time to time, am
totally independent at this site (no clique for me, thank-you), and
enjoy it very much. As an experienced player here (and especially
because you are concerned about minimizing your word usage in
posts), may I suggest you try the same? I truly believe you will enjoy
your playing experience here more. Now, if you are into playing other
games here, I will add you to my Moran list - those with an IQ below
70. So far, I don’t believe you belong there.
Just please play chess and be a part of this wonderful website. Add
what you can in posts and let the rest go.π
Tony, (Alley Crime)
You are not an outsider. I have read your e-mail and post and
you are not a moron. I'm here for the fun and enjoyment I can get.
I'm not always happy with what I read from time to time in the forum
and I dont always agree. If you consider me part of a clique, I am. It
is called having been here for almost a year and a half.
