You need to trap them until they're gone. While you're trapping, invest some time into inspecting and caulking. Use chicken wire for larger openings (under porches, crawlspaces.) Cover every single possible point of entry.
Mice are cute, but your healthy family's cuter. They can lead to bigger issues than inconvenient droppings: They like chewing. Wires.
