@Very-Rusty saidPM me if you would like further reading.
I really don't enough about it but what I've seen on BBC was no issue. I really don't know what all the fuss is about to be honest.

@divegeester saidPlease go back and read what I wrote. I didn't say it should be shut down for its size as a corporation or the quality of its programs either (In fact I didn't call it a corporation - you did) I said it shouldn't be shut down simply because not everyone agrees with how they operate
I’m not proposing it should be shut down for either it’s size as a corporation nor the quality of its programs.
I’m not sure where you got that idea from.
Got it now?
@mchill saidI didn’t say you did. You implied I said that.

@divegeester saidThat is sports, many sports will boo their opponents and cheer their own Team. I don't think it is an insult toward GB. Look at soccer as an example.
Team GB cross country cyclist Piddock has been booed by the French crowd when he passed the French leader to clinch Gold.
How very unsporting.
Now if they did that when he is receiving his medal that would be very disrespectful.

@Very-Rusty saidFair point Rusty, but it’s highly unusual in the Olympics which is less driven by a tribal mindset and more of a global community sporting ideology.

@divegeester saidGood Point, the English and French have not gotten along well for a long time, they had a lot of fighting going on between them. Unlike a lot of soccer Teams who strongly dislike each other. As you know there have been fights in the stands with opposing fans.

@divegeester saidRubbish. When they were held in London it was all go team GB, same as it is in Paris for the frogs.

@A-Unique-Nickname saidI don’t recall Brits booing the French.

I do approve of your use of “frogs” however.
@A-Unique-Nickname saidTrevor Really Frogs? That is a little juvenile even for you.
