my money was on hedgehunter who always had a chance after 2004;s performance. My mistake was not fixing the odds. 7-1 is not bad though (for my £2).

had more money on some other for e/w places, but no luck there. Covered my bets though (plus I got a win their on Friday also)

wife had money on hedgehunter - she always bets on the favourite and justifies it by winning most times. not much winnings but better than none at all.
I put wee bets on for the kids based on names.
Strong Resolve for my son (cos he has) and Simply Gifted for my daughter (cos she is) and Anna's came in third at 66-1! So she's lucky as well as gifted.
And then I had my dosh on Clan Royal...
