SA played well against Samoa...
I don't know what was up with all those drop goal attempts, our backline should've been running around as much as possible in preperation for the rest of the WC.
Now it's on to the al blacks.
We've faced NZ twice in WC history and beat them both times - hopefully we can keep that record going 😀
GO BOKKE!!
Damn!
You won't see too many teams upset the Aussie set pieces...
The Irish just didn't have enough mojo to pull through against the good Aussie defence.
Still the Aussies can count themselves very lucky. Both teams didn't have their best games and luckily for the boys from down under the paddies just made too many mistakes on attack.
The Aussie team must be pretty worried now.
They haven't had too many good victories against northern hemisphere teams of late and they've lost against Enland, NZ and SA just before the WC.
It seems home advantage isn't really helping either. Today I just heard the Irish fans cheering.
Don't know exactly what happened this year in the 6 nations...
I don't think England actually lost a game this year (not sure, but they didn't lose too many if they did).
I don't think England are too worried about the Welsh, because the kiwis let the Welsh back into the game by playing their high risk running brand of rugby. It didn't all go as planned and then they started to panic when the Welsh started countering - which they did very well.
England are a more composed side, I can't see the Welsh troubling them too much.
But we can pray and keep our fingers crossed 😉
But we can pray and keep our fingers crossed 😉[/b]hear hear to that! 🙂
You are right about the high risk rugby! But we still expect our defence to be better than that! Close to the rucks we were poor! And SA will be just as devestating! Though the loss of van neirkerk is a big blow! Probably a little horrible to say but not sure if our guys were really expecting the welsh to turn it on like that for that long!
well the quarter finals seem to have occurred as the media expected so what are the picks to make the semis. Mine are New Zealand, Aussie, England, and Ireland. I've picked Ireland because they've played two close games while the French haven't played any (even though they looked good)!
So now all the big teams have proved that they have weaknesses and have had to come through tough games. I thought SA played well against Samoa and used the right tactics however once the game was won I though they should have thrown it around a bit more. Australia were lucky as either team could have won that they will get into the semis as Scotland won;t worry them too much. I wouldn't wnat to call SA-NZ probabaly NZ I think it depends what sort of start the SAs have. Ireland France again a tight one my heart says Ireland but my heads says France. Wales shouldn't trouble England too much England were Grand Slam winners this year (not lost a game) though I can't remeber the Welsh score.
A good weekend of rugby ahead though!
i am going for australia all the way. england are ok, but after their match against tonga, where johnny wilkinson's boot was off they didnt look like the number one rugby team in the world.
I feel that some of the minnow countries like Georgia and Tonga are constantly proving they can score tries against countries like new zealand and england.
