Johan, I know what you mean, but if they did that, we would never have seen the Japanese outplay the scots.

true, but still, pretty bad. even for a first timer in the WC, they could have at least tried...😳

Hehe, I watched most of the game, and they definitely tried. They gave too much possession away, that was their problem.

By the way guys, is the SA - England game the first one which might be competitive? Dr Brain, Crowley, give the Boks a chance?

Yes,the England vs SA match will be the first competitive match.I do not believe the English will be competitive though.I predict a 32-15 victory to SA.

Go You Good Thing!!

Hehehehe......just had to say that.

Johan

What have you been drinking?! You don't believe the English will be competitive!!!

England might not win (yeah right 😉) but it should be a helluva game regardless.

I'm going with 31-19 England.

Roll on Saturday!

With the first round of games played, who do you guys think is shaping up best of the "contenders"?

I thought that NZ, England, S Africa and France all had good games, albeit against weak opposition. Only Australia looked badly below-par. I think NZ possibly look the best so far, but their possible injuries must be a worry.

It was hard to tell England's and South Africa's true form against such weak opposition, but I still think that England should beat the Boks fairly comfortably. I think England have a more multi-dimensional game, and will win 28-12.

Mick 🙂

That would be the Fosters, I presume.
It would also explain why you think England will lose to SA 😲

LOL. I was actually quite shocked to hear Fosters is marketed as 'Australia's Favourite Beer' overseas. I've never touched it, nor have I met another person who has 😵. It must be cheaper to export.

That's what I've heard before. So what is Australia's favourite beer?
We get Fosters and Castlemaine XXXX, neither of which are actually imported.

A quick search revealed that *shudder* VB, or Victoria Bitter, is the most drunk beer in Australia. Not my favourite, though it isn't too bad I guess. Carlton Draught, or Tooheys Old are better. 😉

Hehehe no,not Fosters.I am a Black Label man,but I doubt you guys have heard of it.I like Amstel too, which is available overseas I believe.
The Aussie taste was due to the phrase:"GO YOU GOOD THING!!!" which the Aussie commentators just LOVE.No one else do.Oh and another one:"OVAAAAAA!!!!!!" When someone scores a try.It just kills me!

As far as the England SA match is concerned I have a good feeling about this.No one gives us a chance to win and oh,how wrong they are MUHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!

They're both very common phrase down here, but I wouldn't be surprised if the commentators are bunging it on a bit because the eyes of the world are on them. They really should vary it up a little with a few "YOU LITTLE BEAUTY!!"s don't ya think.

Still....GO YOU GOOD THING!!
