People actually thought this was cool:

Check the bass player in the Harry Potter wizard's robe. Or is it a dress?

At least they could play their own instruments - unlike many of the crap bands around these days. 😲

Ditto. Magic Carpet Ride, Sookie Sookie, The Pusher---classics one and all.

Is that any more ridiculous than what the hip-hop 'artists' today are wearing?

How is he in a Harry Potter wizard's robe when the video was in the 60's? 😕

What was cool was that the lead singer, John Kay, escaped from Communist-held East Germany to come to the United States and through his talent and hard work made something of himself, just like the Great American Dream says can happen. 🙂 I saw them twice in the early 70's and both shows were great. Along with Sabbath and Zeppelin, Steppenwolf opened a door and metal walked in. Fashions in clothes come and go, especially in the entertainment business, so I don't worry about that. The music is what counts.

I agree. John Kay is still performing and looking and singing great. Played a nice slide guitar as well. Saw him two years ago, anyway. I saw the Wolf on their "Monster" album tour. Fantastic time. John Kay solo work is also strong.

LOL.
Luckily most free-thinking people don't care what a crazy american who runs around naked in his house, posing in front of mirrors with his shiny Taurus pistol, quoting Robert de Niro lines, thinks of great old rock music.
