Well, it's high time that someone told you the truth. Our news media is full of ignorant, untalented hack, bottom feeders. As a result, I will strive to bring you The Truth behind todays relevant news stories. You name the story and I'll give you the bitter truth.
This morning, we have the truth behind Alberto Gonzales leaving office.
For awhile, it really looked like this mook would skate by and, as with the rest of the administration, hold absolutely no responsibility for his actions. Of course, The Truth is that Gonzales was a huge lightning rod for the administration, a heat sink for negative media, a spermicidal sponge to stretch a metaphor. Letting the media and Democrats play Wack-A-Mole with Gonzales is classic misdirection, someone should get a medal.
With the resignation of Alberto "Wack-A-Mole" Gonzales, only The Dickster is left to draw the fire of the Administrations opponents. Don't get me wrong, Dick Cheney is the Anti-Christ and more than capable of stirring the media pitbulls into a Dickpocalyptic feeding frenzy. However, there's only so much carnage one man can do.
Gonzales's trumped up, overblown, hysterical dramafest over the firing of US attorneys would have continued on indefinitely if Gonzales hadn't been implicated in the recent Vick Dog Fighting affair. While adding pumping the media with rumors of Gonzales's involement in the domestic-surveillance program and implying shady dealings surrounding his contributions to the White House's post-9/11 detention policies was brilliant, the Adminstration wanted nothing to do with Gonzales's apparent feeding of aborted fetuses to Pit Bulls in training. Officially, "After months of unfair treatment that has created a harmful distraction at the Justice Department, [Mr. Gonzales] decided to resign his position, and I accept his decision. It's sad that we live in a time when a talented and honorable person like Alberto Gonzales is impeded from doing important work because his good name was dragged through the mud for political reasons." Damn it people! Bush openly admits having taken an active role in 'dragging Gonzales's name through the mud for political reasons'. No mention was made of the fact that Gonzales was throwing down huge gobs of freshly printed bills on dog fights.
While some 'Political Analysts' have, in their infinite wisdom, suggested that firing the numbnuts he has surrounded himself with might mend the bridge between himself and Capitol Hill, I suspect that we have entered into the Uber Lame Duck Phase of Bush's leadership. Bush's final term will ooze to a close in a confused and clumsy jumble much like cattle being herded into a slaughter house. Perhaps someone will start a war to spice things up and further distract the American public from the train wreck that is our domestic/international policy... oh, wait, apparently that's already been done.

There is truth, and then there is Truth. None of these matter in the greater scope of things. It's more important to express Truth in society, through acts of caring and kindness, they will have a more profound impact than screaming about corrupt poloticians

More Truth: Your local weatherman has a better chance of predicting the migration patterns of the Red Breasted Weedle Wacker than telling you were a hurricane is going to hit with any accuracy (ie. Within a 1000 miles).

It's not a debate you blithering git.
How can you call someone a hack and then use a phrase like "blithering idiot": isn't that a rather hackneyed expression symptomatic of your inability to express yourself in self-invented idioms?
Edit: I suspect it is a debate since you harbour some political agenda by posting here but I care not because Countdown is on.

This summer I started to read "The truth according to me," by Hand of Hectate.
The book was long and ponderous, so I set it aside and went for something lighter and less cumbersome; War & Peace.
