Is that a desirable thing?
My personal opinion is that I would like to see you reproduce your genes Nordlys. It might prove of some value down the road, and even if it didn't, you have nothing to lose.
Let me elaborate on this subject:
I believe that everything in our world is here for a reason. So people are born, live and die... the only significance I can think of in my small, infitestitical mind, is that the short period that you were alive you had the option to reproduce.
Originally posted by NordlysI didn't say that reincarnation was a fact. I said that the only way we can be reprocessed is to die. You have a serious problem with distorting what a person says. It's a fact that we die!
How did that answer my question why you believe reincarnation is a fact?
If the soul lives on then we MUST die for it to continue.
You are a real pain in the butt, Nordlys, because you always take what someone says out of context. Maybe it's good that your genes don't ever reproduce?

Dying is a natural process. We must die before we can be born again in another body.
My reply:

"That" referred to being born again in another body, not dying. It sounded to me like you saw dying as an inevitable event which wouldn't be positive in itself, but that you saw being born again in another body as inherently positive, and I wondered about the latter. Sorry if my question wasn't clear enough.
Edit: Also, even if you may not claim that reincarnation is a fact, you do seem to believe in it. Care to elaborate?
Originally posted by ArrakisI thought you meant reincarnation as well. dying is pretty self-evident.

Enough about the birds and bee's. I think Arrakis is talking about sex instead of reincarnation. Hell of a way to approach the subject however. I could be wrong though. I always think the same thing every time I see an inkblot.
Originally posted by wormwoodI was stating that we all die... Some people believe that the "saved souls" go to heaven. I personally do not believe in that faith, but I do believe that the energy that is referred to as "a soul" is 'reprocessed'.

Look around you... we see that everything has a cycle. Plants die and and are rejuvinated to come back again. Stars die and are reborn again. It just makes sense that everything is reprocessed.
So my whole point was simply that if you leave something of yourself behind in this world to continue then a person's existance here was not without meaning.
