@torunn saidDone after making business deals also, some guys would try to squeeze your hand harder than required. I loved that part and the look on their face when I squeezed harder!!! I never started, but did finish it, most of the time! 😉
A handshake was a sign of honesty and trust.

@caesar-salad saidIt can be arranged...
Quite so. I actually prefer a nice granite slab with leather restraints and a black chrome finish on the hardware if available.
😴
@caesar-salad saidHmmmmmmmmmm....Sounds a bit on the kinky side! 😉

@very-rusty saidWith social anxiety, the desired goal is the extinction of the anxiety (through habitualization).
Or you end up giving them more depression & anxiety? That is a question not accusation! 😉

So, for example, if I took a client with anxiety into a busy coffee shop their initial instinct would be to get out as quickly as possible. This however only rewards the anxiety and perpetuates it. The strategy I use is to pre-arm the client with the knowledge that anxiety has a 'ceiling' and that if they are able to tolerate it, the anxiety will come down by itself. Learn to do this often enough and the client will become habituated to such social settings and the eventual extinction of the anxiety. (That's the theory at least).
Despite what you might think, I am actually very good at my job and always have a waiting list of referrals. In this field, reputation is everything.
(Incidentally, I often use chess as a tool in this process and have, with many clients, played games in such busy coffee shops as a means of distraction. It provides a focal point and helps filter out some of the hustle and bustle). At referral meetings, I frequently ask the question, "Do you play chess?"
@ghost-of-a-duke saidgoad, give it a rest you aren't at work now!!! Why must you always try to analyse people on here?

Because you say you are good at job, doesn't make it so! Personally I wouldn't seek your professional help or opinion for that matter.

Who was I analyzing?!

@very-rusty saidTruth is sir, when anything is explained to you in any kind of detail you immediately feel inferior and intellectually inept, which manifests itself in juvenile responses.
You are always analyzing people on here goad, who you trying kid?

Would you like a little more analyzing?
@ghost-of-a-duke saidLike I said you are always at it, does it make you feel superior.

To me it just makes you appear condenscending, kind'a like Dr. Phil does at times with people!

LOL....You are funny without even realizing it! 😛 😉

1. I do not compare you to Napoleon in regards to his military prowess.
2. The reference is purely in regards to the 'Napoleon Complex'
"Napoleon Complex" is a theorized inferiority complex normally attributed to people of short stature. It is characterized by overly-aggressive or domineering social behavior, such as lying about earnings, and carries the implication that such behavior is compensatory for the subject's physical or social shortcomings.'

@ghost-of-a-duke saidFor those advertisements between 1766 and 1769 that include smallpox and the height of the slaves described (n=26), the average height was 62.27 inches (5 feet 2.27 inches) with a standard deviation of 2.75 inches.

So in his era he was average height, you would have been one of his detractors back in the day. Did he beat up on the British too much for you liking? 😉 😛
Don't live in the past goad, move on into the future.
I think you're a short balding man with a white beard big stomach and a pipe stuck between your lips but that doesn't make it so does it? 😛 😉
