I am going to spend my Christmas holidays in Tokyo, visiting my brother and his family. It'll be my first time in Japan. Any tips?

Remember, it's not Japanese food over there. It's just called food.

Take lots of money, Tokyo is rumoured to be the most expensive city in the world.

Take lots of photos.

Nod your head a lot, and give and accept things with 2 hands. That's if Japan is anything like mainland Far East.

Here is a useful tip. If you go out with people and want to impress them, say itadakimasu before you eat a meal - it is the done thing in japan.

According to my brother that has changed drastically lately. Apparently it's not any more expensive than most places in Europe now (which means probably quite a bit cheaper than Norway).
