I've been travelling for most of the time that I've been playing on RHP. It was great, I'd log in every few days from different internet cafes around the world, make a few moves and it was great.

I got back to the UK, and made loads of moves while unemployed, the life of Riley you might say.

However, I went and got myself one of those 'Job' things. Now my RHP is suffering, I get home at night and I'm too knackered to make many moves. Just in a few games with short time controls. By friday night my homepage is full of yellow spinning clocks. I've become a weekend player!

Does anyone else suffer from this problem? are there any cures? other than give up the job? I need help...... Please.....

Yes. I got tired of chess and work, after being fired for chess at work. I let all my games die out. It took months though

Yeah - Ethiopia!

Seriously though, great wildlife for the rich and Zanzibar is simply stunning.

I really need to cut down on my games, that is a big big problem for me just now. I have a bit of time off next week so maybe I'll be able to slash my way through a number of the games, and resist entering tournaments (my biggest weakness). Problem is though that I have loads of Round 2 games starting soon!

The food in Ethiopia was great, but after a month of it I was happy to eat something that wasn't Injera! I even had one of their specialities there, raw beef! It was pretty good, although a little chewy!

Oh yeah, the beef thing is called kitfo. Delicious. It's raw chopped beef that's been marinated in lemon juice, spices and a little butter. I like the injera (the sourdough flat bread) too.

No it wasn't the kitfo (although I had that too). It was literally diced raw beer. You'd sometimes see a cow carcus hanging up in one corner of the restaurant. I don't remember what it was called though.

I had it at the Harar brewery in Harar, thankfully I drank some very yeasty beer afterwards to help with the digestion!

I've had Harar beer too. Mine was kind of like a stout. Pretty tasty. Never been to Ethiopia, but there's a good Ethiopian restaurant nearby. I think I need to go this weekend!
