Tip anywhere from 15-20%...taxis, waiters...etc. While at MSG, swing around the corner and visit White Castle for some burgers (it's about a block away). Kind of a dump, but soooooooo tasty. Don't go anywhere fancy for pizza in NY. The cheap little divey places are just as good if not better. For the kids (not sure how old they are), try the museum of natural history. They might also get a kick out of seeing The Blue Man Group (Astor Place Theater: Greenwich Village). Buy tickets in advance. It's a blast! Go to the top of the Empire State Building...the kids should enjoy that.

I don't know the kid's scene in NY all that well, because I didn't have kids when I lived back there. I do know there's plenty to do though. Maybe pick up a book on things for kids to do and see in NY.

Enjoy!

Depends on where you are in Central Park. It's a very big park.

Do not tip!

Especially not Taxi Drivers!

Tip waiters if they do a good job because they earn next to nothing, but don't tip anyone else for any reason.

The American Museum of Natural History is at Central Park West and West 79th Street, about a mile north of your hotel at West 57th and Eighth Ave. It's an easy walk. Check their website at www.amnh.org.
