Last year, Phlab started a thread asking for Turkey pics. I'm too lazy to find it. I would like to see your Turkey and/or your Thanksgiving spread. Let's forget our bloody past here in America....let's see some of those 300 million Turkeys sacrificed for our gluttony! 😛

Mine will be shown tomorrow, as I'm having my dinner then. It may be a body part separated from the turkey trunk. Does a turkey have a torso?

Enjoy!
Pics unavailable from Seniorsville, USA...
Decided to do takeout (with all the trimmings and an extra side of gravy) from Cracker Barrel this year. Kind wishes to all members and their families on this national day of gratitude.

But you're so tender and flavourful. 🙁

Candied yams are in the oven at this very moment. Marshmallows melting. Did the Native Americans have marshmallows?😕

Yes, but they were made from buffalo fat and peyote. 😕

Ok I'm a butcher by trade, but I do think animals deserve a humane death.
Read to them the General Forum from RHP, then they'lll want to die. 😞

Then eat the things.

We always have a really nice family gathering for the holidays. It's great to be able to get together at least once a year and devote a full day to food, laughter and togetherness. I'll try to get a few more pictures, but here are a few.

Enjoy...and Happy Thanksgiving everyone! 🙂

We had our first eggs this week! I have a new set of pics to show - I haven't forgotten.
Still wonder what names you and your children finally picked for the baby chicks.

I lived near a Turkey farm for many years, did you know the domestic turkeys we eat have fluffy snow white feathers as opposed to the wild turkeys dark brown/gray/black ones?

That's funny, I do the same thing with the Yams!

Sorry, the turkey is already eaten so no picture. It went in at 4:00 this morning, 19.5 pounds.
