Kewpie and torunn finally some level headed thinking.

Well said by the two of you.

The woman who was shot has now been pronounced dead. I've heard some Policemen were also hurt and someone else was shot. This is something we see happen in other countries not the U.S.A., a very sad day for sure.

Is your idea of level headed thinking? .. that $$hitt happens in other parts of the world but not in the US?

Well maybe that is why it is happing in the US. A little arrogance + complacency = a fall off your pedestal ... 😀

In some other countries the police would have shot and killed about 500 demonstrators already. American police are too nice.

That is how much you know about me, I don't even live in the U.S.A., but still saddened to see what we saw today, and what may still happen if they don't respect to be off the streets. The Police and military will remove them. The U.S. don't allow that kind of behavior. It is terrorism is what it amounts to.

I know you are from Nova Scotia. You guys are too soft and peaceful over on that East Coast and you probably eat to much lobster and cod .. lol 😀

Most countries have this kind of thing at some point. Its small potatoes. In a couple weeks when Biden is president all this will be history. Trump's supporters are just a bunch of kids with guns who think they can handle the police and army.

You don't know anything about what we eat or do here in Nova Scotia, if you hadn't looked you wouldn't know. A few posts ago you though I was American.

Trump got them riled up claiming that the election was fixed. He is as much responsible as the protestors that are there breaking windows and creating damage. Trump will not be remembered well and history will not be kind to him.

I don't think Trump is fit to lead anymore he is fixated on this lose only losers lose is all he thinks. I don't believe right now he is fit to be in charge.

People have the right to protest in any country, it was only 160 years ago that they had a civil war. Shows how broken the country really is and had been for many years.

btw, an internal protest is not terrorism.

The police and military would have already killed 30-40 of them if they'd been African American protesters.

Yes, you can have terrorists in a country have you read the American amendments? look at the part about domestic terrorism!

They aren't far away from a civil war now, they have civil unrest for sure. It is disgraceful is what is being said from World leaders. They eyes are certainly on them now.

Have I read the American amendments? That's the dumbest question you've ever asked.

What you saw was not terrorism, it was a protest, why was there not more police there to stop them getting in? That's the question.

We already know what happened in the BLM protests. We know about the racial inequality. All those people should be arrested and charged, the President should be booted but is there enough time to invoke the 25th amendment?

It was domestic terrorists and others in the U.S.A. are looking at it the same as I am.

You are correct there should have been better security than there was. They didn't expect TRUMP to rile the protestors or there most likely would have been. The assumed they were looking at a peaceful protest not what happened. I am sure you've seen more of what happened at this point.

They are talking about invoking the 25th amendment and removing TRUMP from office. Something many said should have been done back in November of 2019. I don't even know if they have time with only 13 days or so left.

I heard an interview, yesterday on the radio, of an American Representative of Congress saying that it was a sad day indeed for America, where democracy was "invented". I'm not certain that that is actually true.
