Why hast thou utter contempt for the great British Bard
the English language has produced?????
For some of my final exams in school about 200 years ago
I had to learn about McBeth.
Although when they actually play it on stage they call it "THE SCOTTISH PLAY".
It's considered unlucky to say McBeth.
Roman Polanski did a movie on it. Quite good it was too.

Here we do Primary and Secondary level.
Then if you have the money or are brainy enough you go to University.
Primary: 5 years old to 12 years old.
Secondary: 12 years old to 18 years old.
University then from 18 to whenever depending on what degree you want.
I only did the first two. Left school in 1979 aged 18.

considering the title of the thread...
but, just in case i did,
please let me ease yer head...
juxtaposition is everything...
as you can see, gb posted a list of bill shakespeare's zingers, and, as this is a zinger thread, i followed that with one of my own...
surely, shirley, you cannot think i have contempt for one of the greatest???
i am merely showing my great admiration for a master of zingerisms, by admitting to being a student of the same...
and,
now that i've had to explain this, qed, all the color is gone from the painting...
alas, johnny,
as van gogh was a master of light,
thou art proving to be a veil...
