I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Story was ok - It was a good two hour(ish) fun ride, but I liked the fact that the actors looked like their original counter parts and that the writers kept the characters personalities, traits and didn't go overboard with the clichés and punchlines (where they were used, it was done subtly) and I loved that Mr Nimoy made an appearance.

i don't know if i can cope with any other Kirk than Shatner, and any other Spock than Nimoy. i can deal with a lot of things, but i'm not sure if i can deal with that.

I had the same concerns and was pleasantly surprised by the film and the cast.
