@contenchess saidThe world is moving there, whether you like it or not. Countries are integrating rather than segregating and as a result becoming more developed, successful and powerful. Australia was just a bunch of poor separated nations before becoming a prosperous single country. Same for the USA. The Caribbean was a group of poor islands and now they have integrated into n common market, big hotels have invested heavily in them and many are now far better off. Europe is already there, The world of full of these success stories of integration which is just one step toward complete economic and political unity.
@Rajk999
Your explanation is typical of people who want to leave a poor country so they can steal the work of people who were born here.
People should fix their countries instead of running away and being a parasite wherever they end up.
Your Christmas wish has been declined.
So one of these years, hope we both live to see it, I will get my Christmas wish.
@contenchess saidAnd this what you describe is what is going to happen in about 50 to 100 years. The world would be a more integrated place. There will be something along the lines of
@Rajk999
I would love to be an islander who just fishes to make a living and plays chess while having a few beers.
Find a way for us to trade citizenships π€
- the UCNSA - The whole of the Americas [incl the Caribbean] will be integrated
- Eurafrica - Self explanatory
- China - Self explanatory [China does not care to be with anybody π]
So guys like you can drive down from Miami, through Key West, Havanna, Haiti and down to Tobago on the newly built US I. and live down here on a beach and catch fish and drink Eurafrica beers. People can go freely to where the work is all over the Americas. Its a nice dream and it will be a reality one day.
In case you are doubting where the world is heading just look back 500 years and compare to where we are now. Citizenship will be a thing of the past.. everyone will be world citizens,
@very-rusty saidWe wont see that, but it will come one day. Peace can only come when religion is removed and all the world is contented with what they have.
Lets hope that day comes, even if we are not around to see it!

@rajk999 saidOr if people were to become more understanding of other people's religion?
We wont see that, but it will come one day. Peace can only come when religion is removed and all the world is contented with what they have.
Perhaps that is asking too much.

@very-rusty saidThat wont happen. Intolerance is taught in all religions except maybe Buddhism

@mghrn55 saidThis is certainly on the cards at some point in the future of mankind, but none of us will live to see that day.. hopefully a couple generations down the road it will be a reality.
This isn't the first time that removing ourselves from the shackles of religion has been mentioned.

@contenchess saidWrong. It's typical of rich people in rich countries who want poor peons from other countries to do their dishes.
@Rajk999

@shallow-blue saidYeah ... maybe you are correct there. Over time the world is getting more and more tolerant and intolerance will eventually be eliminated. Think of where we were 500 yrs ago. The Catholic Church was killing people by the millions
You think so? Try Myanmar and North Korea. Atheism (including buddhism) is at least as vicious as religion - if only because it refuses the option of tolerating other religions.
