@trev33 saidMy Aunt told me they were wasps. keep in mind I am only 5 or 6 around that age.
Are you sure it wasn't bees? You might have killed them all who bite you 😢
Something stung me when i was about 7 but that was the last, wasn't a fan of wasps for a long time but they're actually a lot more useful that people think and they don't sting just for the hell of it?
I stepped on their home of course they are going to be upset!

@the-gravedigger saidDunno. Star Trek had a wider audience than you might think.
I could have conversed with said wasp in Klingon if it spake Klingon which is probably unlikely.

@badradger saidWasps during spring and summer are only aggressive when someone threatens or disturbs their nest – so what seems hostile is actually defensive behavior. Unfortunately, they do often make their homes in areas that can be too close to or disturbed by humans.

@very-rusty saidthe ones in the loft were finding their way into the ground floor, you couldnt get them out ...so they had to go, the ones under the roof tiles caused water to get in and create a damp patch on the kitchen wall so ...they had to go.

@badradger saidThere had to be a small hole somewhere for them to get in to begin with I am assuming.

@very-rusty saidthe ones under the roof tiles didnt get into the loft but the roof tiler wouldnt fix the tiles while the wasps were there and we were having a new kitchen fitted and the damp was holding the job up.the ones in the loft were entering the house through theholes in the corner in each room that had the alarm system fitted like lazer cameras.

@badradger saidVery unfortunate for both of you. It seems to be just one thing after the others at times doesn't it!

@divegeester saidI think you're trying too hard.
I fail to see how being fluent in Klingon would have helped a 7 year old running all ankles-out-sideways down down the high street while sobbing “life’s not fair even at my age”.
Having said that a few miles away in Penzance you will find a species of pavement life which do in fact appear to be a sub-kind of cyclopsed Klingons, probably decedents of the corrupted phen ...[text shortened]... ii.
