You and Phlabs both make a good point.
Although I'm not sure that "white trash" is a racial slur as much as a regional slur against southerners or an economic slur against the poor. (At least here in the states.)
Regardless, I agree that this thread started badly and quickly got worse.

I work at an all womens college in New England, and the term "white privledge" is used often. The idea I guess is that being white in America means you are unlikely to ever be on the negative side of racism. That as whites in America, we live a life of privledge for no other reason than we are white. I'm not sure I entirely agree, but there is some validity to the argument

The big con of the centuary, is that we as a race fear being racist, where other races asspet it as part of their culture. I know many people of other races, and they are all racist in one wey or another - South africans hate nigerians, Indians hate Muslims, Zimbabweans hate the brits ( stereotypes, yes...but work with me on this). They all have cul ...[text shortened]... ifference, or to voice a dislike, for fear of being "RACIST
Makes me sick really 😛

I wonder how many here have actually been victims of racism?
In my home town, I constantly dealt with ridicule and being singled out because of my heritage. Anyone else?
