i think the definition should be

if you agreed you could have muliple partners at the beginning
then no it is not

if you did not (regardless of girl/girl, boy/boy, girl/boy/girl, joining, watching etc)
then YES it has to be cheating

if the topic was not broached then
???? i dunno, in my opinion if you regard it as a serious relationship then it is cheating
