"...I believe what you say. I don't know what reason he would have to lie to me about it.."

Yes, there are folks who work a lot harder than me and they deserve all that they get. In big time scraping it is important to have contacts at the industrial level to get a consistent volume that can be picked up and converted to cash quickly. As a small time guy, ...[text shortened]... fe out to eat is reward enough.

Edit: I never thought we would be discussing scraping at RHP. 😛
Well, I just happened to know a fellow who did this as a job. As you said I do believe he said something about having some contacts when metal is available and about to be disposed of which help him considerably. Everyone in our area which covers a large amount of people also know if you looking to get rid of any metal no matter what it is he will take it off your hands. I believe some even give him money for getting rid of it for them. Some don't like making the trip to the scrap metal yard as others may think they are poor people. Doesn't make sense to me money is money. Then others just don't have the time to do so which I understand. One never knows what will be discussed on here especially in the General Forum. 😉

Make some holes at the bottom, put some top soil and plant some seasoning, thyme parsley chives etc.
Or, make a lot of little holes in the bottom and position a garden hose, so as to make it a cool, summertime shower for kids.

Just sand out the rust and put a coat of paint. Make use of the old stuff instead of throwing it away and buying new things every year. You people are the reason why some businessmen are filthy rich for doing nothing of real value.

If you are including me as you people. I grew up very poor. You know what an outhouse is without looking it up? Well I use to use that in the winter time in -30 weather.

Just because you constantly need to look things up doesn't mean you need to talk down to people when you think they might need to. The poor origin humbleness obviously isn't present in thee. btw, without looking it up you were able to have kids so clearly your bits didn't freeze and was completely fine 😛

That is why I am as tough as I am today trev and have lived through many things you know nothing about. I not only had kids I adopted kids too all grown now I might add. It is hard not being able to see them in person at least there is a way to see and talk to them with where technology has went. Oh yes it was very cold, especially having a bowel movement and wiping your butt with an old magazine page. I now use cashmere....LOL...! Perhaps it toughened me up too much so I am told at different times.

See, there you go again talking down to people, if you think that’s tough you need a reality check. What I see is a sad little man who sits behind a computer screen spending the majority of his life on a chess forum picking fights with people. Now, we know you’re not a 90 year old who can’t move so the only reasonable explanation is that you’re a lazy sad little man with no life.

And your reason trev? 😛 😉

Who have I picked a fight with? You mean verbal confrontation don't you?

Stay with the group trev you are good at that, terrible by yourself! 😉

How do you see me talking down to anyone, I grew up poor worked hard to get to where I am now and was fortunate to be able to retire early.

Just keep going around bragging about the different parts of the word you "say" you've been to! 😉

Throw it away? Paint over the rust? Sand it down and then paint over it? Put some glue and feathers on it? Ideas please.
If you need a bucket, restore it. If not, dispose of it.
