It is enlightening to meditate the fact that the Christian teachings do not have western but eastern roots ! The Christian teachings are 100 % eastern. They originated in Israel/Palestine. Do not try to convince a Palestinian that he lives in a western country ...... you would not succeed .......

jesus in an eastern country? - i also disagree with this but i will cede this point - ok so now jesus lived in the east and was an easterner (just for the sake of arguement)
but the christian teachings are spread predominantly by "western" countries in most of recent history.
i really do feel that it is a western religion. the importance of the religion is in its INTERPRETATION of the original teachings. the bible can be interpreted any way you want and the religion we see today as christianity is the western interpretaion.
