If you could live in any other country than your own, where would it be?

For me, it would be Wales or the UK/ Ireland

I live fine here (Nijmegen, Holland). Only for the scenery I would move somewhere else. For example the US countryside. Unfortunately the vistas are the only good thing there at the moment 😕 (of course meaning the First Citizen, not the rest - so please take no offense).

Gee, elvendreamgirl wants to live in Wales. I'm shocked. 😲

I've lived in Canada all my life. I've only left the country 4 times. Twice to the U.S. and once each to Costa Rica and Barbados. I've lived in 5 different provinces, and I've driven across the country twice.

To be honest, not only would I never live anywhere else, but I'm no longer even tempted to travel outside Canada on vacation. I think Canada is the most beautiful place in the world, and I could not imagine ever wanting to be anywhere else.

Sorry edg... guess my post doesn't add much to the point of your thread. 😉

well, i've recently come from Australia to England to live, probably for a few years. why England? Well, i wanted to do postgrad study, so somewhere English-speaking was desirable. PhDs take 5 years in the USA or Canada, and since i had a career in IT before this, i feel like i want to get mine sooner rather than later. NZ was a bit close to home, although i thought about it. i also considered Scotland, Ireland and Wales. another attraction is that it is close to Europe, so i can spend some time travelling over there while based here.

but if i could live where i wanted, without study/professional considerations in mind: Venice, perhaps; Argentina or Brazil (or perhaps some other Sth American country); Japan or Sth Korea; Prague, perhaps. Sometimes i think i'd like to try NY for a bit. i'd like to spend a few years here, a few years there, keep moving about...

I'm in Toronto but I've lived in Vancouver before. The current big job markets are here in Toronto and in Alberta, where the oil industry is booming. What do you do?
