Please tell me what being a Brit has to do with your disregard to affirm yourself with society, or disregard to your thread? We have soldiers dying weekly too you know, or not? But there is pure respect for them, and a view of unwanton and unnecessary disregard for our government for being in places where we may not be of benefit. But such is the situ for living within a democracy which tries to lead others to union and total regard for each other. I don't think you are expressing your intenal turmoil very well. As for a fiend displaying a gun in school, I'm sure the authorities, which you don't want to pay for in taxes, were there to deal with it in a democratic way!..uh?

and i have the highest respect for them...
in fact, i have a lot of respect for someone who fights for their country...
i intend on going into the Navy for just that reason...
because although i believe this country's gone to hell, i believe more that i should help fight for the rights that we have given ourselves, whether or not the average american abuses those rights
(taking the first ammendment and having the "i can say anything i want" mindset is abusing a right)

and as far as the brit thing:
i appreciat the brit's help in the war on terror, whether or not the average brit supports the war or not

You hate baked beans? That's outrageous! Baked beans are great! I don't usually have them for breakfast, though. I think the only time I had baked beans for breakfast (and on toast!) was when I was in Hay-on-Wye.
