If they kept on and did not leave me alone we would have a real problem.
I'm not so sure this is true for me. Generally-yes. But I'm not so sure about when it comes to being agressive. I'll admit the only person I've really not gotten along with in the forums (apart from maybe ravello a while ago, but that's ok) is katty. I think in real life I might just have walked off... that's my normal reaction. But otherwise I'd say I'm pretty much the same here as outside.
The problem is is that here you cannot get away from people because they keep on and on, they don't go away, and there is nothing you can do about it. There are only certain people that I have problems with on this site and they can be counted as less than as many fingers as I have on my right hand. They are the site bullies who's $hit dosn't stink.

I believe most people pretend a lot in "real life", too. In some ways I am more myself online than in "real life". I have learned to fake "normal" behaviour pretty well (maybe not as well as I used to think, judging from the non-surprised reaction of my boss when I told her I'm autistic...), and if I am together with "neurotypical" people whom I don't know extremely well, I usually pretend to be normal. That's mostly a survival strategy, and a way not to get unwanted attention. I think being weird is more accepted on the internet than in "real life", and I don't have to worry about losing my job etc., so I can safely be weird.
