Suppose I have 2 games, Game A and game B. Game A is finished in a few days. Game B is following the exact same line, but takes a lot longer to finish. Can I in the maintime analyse game A to see where I have gone wrong? Although the chance that this occurs is very small, I'm not going to wait, say 3 months, to analyse a game.
If you have two games on the same line, you are most likely still in book/database. I guess it comes down to your intention. If it is your intention to analyse a past game, and you just happen to have a game at the same stage, then okay. If it is your intention to apply an engine analysis to a current game, then not okay. Either way it is a matter for your conscience. Since you are most likely still in book, it is extremely unlikely that such a circumstance would be a determining factor in a game mod cheating deliberation.
